In 1971 the company was transformed into a stock corporation with Mr. Ernst Ammann and Mr. Martin Steiner as founders. After the death of Mr. Ammann in 1974, the firm was led by Mr. Steiner for 23 years. Afterward Michel Seehof took over in leading the company up until 2021. Since then, Stefan Blaser has been leading the company.

Since 2021 we have been a member of the IPS Irsch Group. In this group all relevant specialties are represented, especially engineering, medical- and dental technology, the packaging industry, the clock making industry, the chemical industry, process engineering, the metal industry, structural engineering, electronics, consumable goods, transportation, as well as biology and biotechnology.

Membership in the IPS Irsch Group, Dr. Stefan Blaser new CEO.

Taking over of the mandates of the IPTO AG, a law firm led by Franz Fischer.

Founding of the Federal Patent Court in St. Gallen, which is responsible for civil law disagreements concerning patents across Switzerland.

2011

Coming into effect of the patent attorney law which protects the titles of Swiss Patent Attorneys.

Dr. Stefan Blaser joins.

Beginning of the EUIPO (European Intellectual Property Office) which is responsible for uniform protections for trademarks and designs across the EU.

Dr. Michael Störzbach joins.

Patent Protection Contract takes effect: Switzerland and Liechtenstein are now a uniform protected area for patents concerning inventions.

WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) launches international patent system according to the PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty).

Founding of VESPA (association of freelance European and Swiss patent attorneys).

Coming into effect of the EPA (European Patent Agreement) and creation of the European Patent Organization as well as of the new employment category of European Patent Attorney.
